The 12th Annual Tom Irwin Memorial Classic, popularly known as the Crusader Classic, was bowled on December 8, 2023 at Bowler City in Hackensack, NJ. This year's event had the participation of 34 boys/co-ed teams alongside 12 all-girls teams, showcasing a considerable amount of talent and teamwork.

A major highlight of the tournament was the record-breaking performance by Delbarton Bowling. The team set a new benchmark for their team high game, scoring an impressive 1069, surpassing the previous record of 1039 set against Chatham last season on January 12, 2023. Additionally, Delbarton's David Reale stole the spotlight, breaking his previous record for the individual high series with a remarkable score of 725, previously set at 698 against Morristown earlier this season.

Reale's exceptional performance continued throughout the evening as he narrowly missed a perfect game, striking in the first eight frames. His skills earned him two individual awards – the high game of the tournament with a score of 269 and the second-highest series of the tournament at 725, just one pin shy of the top series score of 726.

The team competition was intensely close, with Seton Hall Prep edging out Delbarton for the third place by a mere one pin – 2881 to 2880. This razor-thin margin highlighted the high level of competition and skill present at the tournament. Montville won the tournament with a 3127, followed by Bergen Tech with a 2985.
