The 2024 Blue Devil Classic, hosted at Jersey Lanes in Linden, NJ, brought together 19 boys/coed teams and five all-girls teams for a thrilling day of competition. With powerhouse programs such as St. Joseph's (Metuchen) (#1), Woodbridge (#10), Morris Hills (#15), and Bayonne (#18) in attendance, the tournament promised high-level play
and did not disappoint.
Delbarton's Varsity Bowling team rose to the challenge, delivering their best finish of the season so far with a remarkable 2nd place and a total score of 2869. This achievement reflects the team's resilience and ability to perform under pressure.
Team Performance Highlights

- Dylan Scarpati: Set a new personal best series of 596, anchored by a high game of 226.
- Connor Tyrone: Contributed two games of record, scoring 184 and 197.
- Steven Corcoran: Bowled a solid 539 series, including a high game of 187.
- Matt Tyrone: Played a key supporting role with a single game of record, scoring 155.
- Captain David Reale: Opened the tournament with a 169 but rallied to bowl back-to-back 248s, closing the day with an impressive 665 series. In Game 3. Reale carried a 280 opportunity into the ninth frame before having to convert a tough split to save his 248.
