Delbarton's JV and Freshman basketball teams kicked off a sweep of Mendham on Wednesday, with Freshman winning in overtime 49-39 in OT and JV winning 48-36 in a hard fought game. 

In the Junior Varsity win, Patrick Mahoney '25 led the way for the Green Wave with 18 points and Luke Azzinaro '25 chipped in with 12 points.  Delbarton was up 9 points at half, but Mendham cut the deficit to 5 in the 3rd quarter. Anthony Palumbo '25 drained a big 3 pointer to extend the lead and Lucas Cardinale '25 and Günther Neumann '26 led the way on the defensive end to shut down the Mendham run.  Delbarton would go on to win 48-36 and improve to 5-1 on the year. 

The JV and Freshman are now both 5-1 leading in to a big NJAC matchup with West Morris.

Delbarton will be in action next Tuesday January 10 at home against West Morris. Freshman tip off at 4pm and JV at 5:30.
