For the second time in two years, the Green Wave are Morris County Tournament champions!  The Green Wave defeated Hanover Park 3-0 on Saturday night, October 21 to win the 2023 Morris County Tournament.

On a chilly evening at Roxbury High School, Delbarton got on the board in the 11th minute as sophomore Owen Miller '26 took advantage of a misplayed ball by goalkeeper Billy Carlucci, putting a shot into the open net for the 1-0 goal.  Miller could not be stopped on Saturday night, and the sophomore scored four minutes before halftime, rebounding a Ryan Zangara shot off the post for the 2-0 halftime lead.

The Delbarton defense would shine all night, preventing any quality changes from getting to goalkeeper James Anroman '24.  The Green Wave limited Hanover Park to just three shots on net, and Anroman was there to stop all three shots.  In the 73rd minute, Miller completed his hat trick, redirecting a pass from captain Shea Coughlin '24 for the 3-0 lead.  

As the final seconds ticked off the clock, the Delbarton bench erupted as the clock struck 00:00, and the celebration began on the field!  The boys celebrated with another county championship coming back to Mendham Road.  Delbarton completes its home schedule today vs. Montville, then it's on to the NJSIAA Non Public tournament.  Seeding is expected to be released later on Monday.  Congrats to Coach Donovan and his team on bringing the title back to Delbarton.
