The Delbarton Bowling program, proudly coached again by Kacy Kane, is ready to take to the lanes to open the 2023-24 winter season. Coming off a very successful 9-7 season in 2022-23 with an appearance in the TOC, the team is poised to make another run.
The bowling team is gearing up for a season of changes. The team graduated three seniors from the varsity team last season, so there will be a number of new faces joining junior Captain David Reale and returning senior Luke Towle. Newcomers Cole Dionyssiou, Jonathan Flores, Luca Scotto and the Tyrone brothers Connor and Matt will look to contribute while returning athletes Steven Corcoran, Dylan Scarpati, Matt Porr and Chris Volpe Jr. look to move up from the JV team to the varsity squad.
In addition to the player changes, there are a number of other changes in store for the team this season. The team will be relocating to Boonton Lanes for matches this season, in order to make room for growth within the district. The team will be bowling at Boonton Lanes with Chatham, Kinnelon, Madison, Montville, and Morristown on the schedule. They will also be going over to Rockaway Lanes for crossover matches with the west half of the conference that includes; Dover, Morris County School of Technology, Morris Hills, Morris Knolls, Mount Olive, and Roxbury.
There are major changes to the State Tournament format that may lead to home matches in the early rounds of the State Tournament, so get ready to pack the lanes to root the team to its 3rd straight appearance at the state's Tournament of Champions.
Delbarton opens the winter season on Monday, November 27 at Boonton Lanes against Morristown!
