Delbarton Bowling Starts the Season Strong

The Delbarton bowling team opened the season with two emphatic victories, showcasing their depth, determination, and record-breaking potential. Facing Morristown in the season opener and Madison in their second match, the team established itself as a force to be reckoned with.

In the season opener against Morristown, the team dominated with a 7-0 victory, outscoring their opponents with a total pinfall of 2853 to 1944. Standout performances included Dylan Scarpati's team-high 571 series, featuring a stellar 224 game, and Captain David Reale's leadership with a 550 series and an impressive 219 high game. The team's collective effort set the tone for an exciting season ahead.

The second match against Madison was equally impressive, marked by a historic performance. Delbarton once again rolled to a 7-0 win, with a total pinfall of 2821 to Madison's 2321. The highlight of the match was the team's record-breaking 1105 single game score in Game 2, shattering the previous school record of 1069. Captain David Reale also made history, becoming Delbarton's career pinfall leader with a total of 30,982 pins and counting. Individual highlights included Reale's incredible 631 series, with a clean 277 game featuring nine consecutive strikes, and Connor Tyrone's breakout performance, achieving a personal best 553 series.
