Delbarton delivered a commanding 7-0 victory over Mendham on September 18, 2024, in a one-sided contest at Ryan Family Field. Right from the start, Delbarton established dominance with Liam McElderry netting the first goal in just the second minute of the match, assisted by Ryan Zangara. McElderry doubled his tally seven minutes later with a clinical finish, this time set up by Owen Miller, putting Mendham under immense pressure early.
The first half continued to be a relentless showcase of Delbarton's offensive depth. In the 27th minute, Marcus Arthur added a third goal, assisted by Luca Scotto, further cementing Delbarton's control. Dylan Mazzarella followed with a goal in the 31st minute, converting a pass from Logan Kim. Just before halftime, PJ Terranova capped off the first-half blitz with a fifth goal in the 40th minute, his first varsity score. Delbarton's efficiency in attack was mirrored by its solid defense. The Green Wave only allowed Mendham two shots on target the entire match, both easily handled by goalkeepers Sebastian Rubio and John Foder. In the second half, Delbarton continued to push forward, undeterred by their sizable lead. Gavin Hassan found the back of the net in the 62nd minute, assisted by Ben Raab, and Nick Simonetti rounded off the scoring with a 72nd-minute strike, also assisted by Raab, marking the seventh goal.
With this win, Delbarton improved to 5-0 on the season, continuing their undefeated run in the NJAC American Division while Mendham fell to 2-1-1.
