The Delbarton boys soccer team continued its strong late-season push with a commanding 4–0 victory over Mt. Olive on Monday, October 27 at Ryan Family Field.
The Green Wave set the tone early. Just ten minutes in, Evan Johnson put Delbarton on the board off a redirected setup from Matt Brusco for a 1–0 advantage that held through halftime.
Coming out of the break, Delbarton wasted no time extending the lead. Less than a minute into the second half, Cortland Martin buried a finish from Owen Miller to make it 2–0. The offensive pressure never let up.
Peter Lines added a third in the 65th minute, converting a assist from Johnson, and Marcus Arthur capped the scoring in the 75th minute on a feed from Ryan Shannon as Delbarton closed out the win in style.
Defensively, the Green Wave were organized and efficient, recording their 12th shutout of the season. Goalkeepers Vayun Swamy (4 saves) and Sebastian Rubio combined to keep Mt. Olive off the board.
With one final home game remaining, Delbarton continues building momentum as the NJSIAA State Tournament approaches.
