The Delbarton soccer team continued its unbeaten run to open the 2025 season with two impressive road victories, defeating Montclair Kimberley Academy 1-0 on Friday and Mount Olive 3-1 on Tuesday to improve to 7-0 on the season.

Against MKA, the Green Wave wasted no time grabbing the lead. In the 4th minute, Cortland Martin buried a goal off a setup from Dylan Mazzarella to put Delbarton in front early. The defense did the rest, holding the Cougars to just six shots on goal. Goalie Sebastian Rubio turned away six shots in the victory. Martin's tally marked his sixth goal of the season, giving him a team-leading 13 points, as the Green Wave held firm to protect the slim margin.

On Tuesday, Delbarton showed off its attacking depth in a 3-1 victory at Mount Olive. Liam Murphy struck twice—once in the 10th minute and again in the 53rd—to give the Green Wave a 2-0 cushion. Captain Marcus Arthur added a third in the 67th minute, before the Marauders pulled one back in the 73rd. Ben Raab, Matt Brusco, and Martin all contributed assists, while Rubio continued his stellar season with six more saves in net.

The Green Wave, ranked No. 2 in the state, will now turn its attention to the upcoming Delbarton Soccer Invitational at Ryan Family Field. Delbarton hosts #5 ranked St. Augustine Prep on Friday before welcoming national powerhouse Chaminade (NY) on Sunday in a marquee interstate matchup.
