Matt is entering his 8th year as Delbarton’s Head Lacrosse Coach and his 25th year overall on the varsity sidelines. While at Delbarton Matt has served the greater New Jersey lacrosse community as the President and Vice President of the NJ Interscholastic Coaches Association (2007-2017), President of the NJ North Chapter of US Lacrosse (2012-2016), NJ Under Armour Underclassmen All-American Head Coach (2009-2011), was named the Assistant Coach of the Year in 2009 from the NJ Coaches Association, received the “Spirit of the Stick Award” in 2017 from the NJ North Chapter for his service to the NJ Lacrosse Community and was inducted into the New Jersey Lacrosse Hall of Fame in the Class of 2018.
Prior to Delbarton, Matt was the Assistant Coach at Sacred Heart University (1998-2000) and the University of Vermont (1996-1997) as well as coaching varsity and junior varsity lacrosse at his alma mater Fairfield Prep (1995). Matt currently serves as the 9th grade Guidance Counselor.
