Delbarton Athletics

Tony Negrin enters his 13th year as a full-time employee of Delbarton School. Currently, Tony serves in his third year as the Director of Athletics.

In addition, Tony teaches African American Literature as a Senior Elective English course and serves as the varsity baseball assistant coach. Before his role as Athletic Director, Tony taught English 09 for 10 years, while also serving as the Council of Seniors moderator, a member of the Admissions Committee, Co-Director of Diversity & Community Belonging, and an assistant coach for our middle school basketball team.

Most recently in May 2022, Tony earned his EdD from Drexel University in Educational Leadership & Management with a concentration in Athletic Administration. He successfully defended his dissertation, which was titled: Exploring Private High School Athletic Directors’ Lived Experiences to Understand Factors Related to Their Role in Recruiting Student Athletes in the New York Metropolitan Area.
