Tony Negrin

Tony Negrin enters his 12th year as a full-time member of the Delbarton School community and his second year as Director of Athletics. In addition to his leadership role, he teaches African American Literature as a senior elective English course and serves as an assistant coach for the varsity baseball team.

Before becoming the fifth Athletic Director in Delbarton's history, Tony spent a decade teaching English 09 while also serving as the Council of Seniors moderator, a member of the Admissions Committee, Co-Director of Diversity & Community Belonging, and an assistant coach for the middle school basketball team. Prior to joining Delbarton, he worked at Regis High School for a year within the REACH program as both a Civitas teacher and an alumni mentor.

In May 2022, Tony earned his EdD in Educational Leadership & Management with a concentration in Athletic Administration from Drexel University. His dissertation, Exploring Private High School Athletic Directors: Lived Experiences to Understand Factors Related to Their Role in Recruiting Student-Athletes in the New York Metropolitan Area, examined key factors influencing athletic recruitment in private schools.
