2022-23 Squash Season Preview

The Delbarton Squash program, coached by Craig Paris '82, returns to the courts this week to kick off the 2022-23 winter season.

The team looks to improve on a tough 2021-22 season, finishing 4-13, and a 5th place finish at Nationals.  This year, the team returns three varsity players and seasoned JV players filling out the squash roster.  "We have a very tough and competitive schedule which will help us improve throughout the season leading up to the High School Nationals at the end of February," says Coach Paris.  Leadership this season will come from returning upperclassmen Colin Pryma and Amir Eltaki.

"The boys have been working very hard in preparation for the season," says Paris.  "We will see how they perform in their first match this Saturday."  With a goal of winning the division in the High School Nationals, the team begins that quest this Saturday, December 3 at against Episcopal School and Radnor at Episcopal School in Pennsylvania.

The team will take on local schools this season such as Blair, Princeton Day, Pingry and Millburn, while also facing teams from Maryland, Tennessee, Connecticut and New York.  The boys wrap up the season on February 24-26 at the High School Nationals in Philadelphia, PA.

Best of luck this year and Go Green Wave!
