Delbarton turned in a complete performance Wednesday afternoon, sweeping Poly Prep, 7–0, on the road behind seven straight varsity victories. The JV Squad also had a big day, picking up a 5-0 win.
At the top of the ladder, William Choi-Seem set the tone with a dominant straight-game win, opening the match with an 11–1, 11–5, 11–3 victory to put the Green Wave out in front early.
Second position followed suit as Ajay Tolia controlled play from start to finish, defeating Jack Ferreira in three games, 11–6, 11–4, 11–2.
Delbarton continued to roll at No. 3, where Luke Kirchner delivered another decisive win, defeating Ben Goldberg in straight games, 11–2, 11–4, 11–3.
The Green Wave clinched the team result at No. 4 behind a steady effort from James Ward, who earned a three-game victory over Max Bronstein, 11–8, 11–3, 11–8.
In the fifth match, Neil Gaglani battled through four games to secure the point, winning 11–6, 11–5, 6–11, 14–12 in one of the most competitive matches of the afternoon.
Delbarton then added wins at the sixth and seventh positions to complete the sweep. Thomas Iossa earned a straight-game victory at No. 6, while Hunter Terborg closed out the varsity lineup with another three-game win to cap the 7–0 result.
