The middle school basketball team won the GMJSCA tournament on Wednesday, February 9, defeating #1 ranked Lincoln Park 50-46.  In a packed gym at Lincoln Park Middle school, both teams put on a show, with Delbarton coming out victorius with a four point advantage.

Veer Dhall, who has been fantastic all tournament, led the way with 24 points and 13 rebounds for the Green Wave. Alex Choi scored 12 points with a couple of big three pointers in the closing minutes of the 4th quarter. Will Meehan had 9 points, including three big free throws with less that 15 seconds to put the Green Wave up for good.  Dara Corr led the team in assists with 9, and paced the defense as Delbarton held the opponent's most threatening 3 point shooter to 0 points through the first 3 quarters.

The Green Wave middle school team finishes the season with a record of 12-2, and its 4th tournament title in the last 9 years!  Congrats to all the coaches and student athletes on a fantastic season and congrats on the tournament victory. Go Green Wave!
