Delbarton Dominates Morristown with 15-3 Victory

In a showcase of skill and pitching depth, Delbarton baseball secured a commanding 15-3 win over Morristown in just five innings. The game was a testament to the squad's power both on the mound and at the plate.

Pitching proved to be a key factor in Delbarton's triumph, with Rhys Shannon, Jake Bell, and Anthony Palumbo delivering stellar performances on the mound.

Delbarton wasted no time, opening the scoring in the second inning with Jack Harley crossing the plate on a sacrifice fly by Miles Handy. The team quickly built momentum, with AJ Saccento and Aidan Dill adding runs thanks to a wild pitch and a clutch single, respectively. Sal Garcia's hit further extended the lead, setting the stage for a commanding 7-0 advantage by the end of the inning.

Maintaining their offensive onslaught, Delbarton continued to pile on runs in the third inning. Matt Tafuri's RBI double and additional scores from Dill and Garcia widened the gap to 10-0. Though Morristown managed to answer with three runs of their own, Delbarton's defense held strong, with Jake Bell entering the game to shut down the opposing offense and preserve the lead with the bases loaded.

The fourth inning saw Delbarton's offense reignite, with Jack Harley delivering a pivotal two-run single among five additional runs scored. Bell and Palumbo continued to stifle Morristown's attempts to rally, closing out the game with confidence and precision.

Individual standouts included Aidan Dill, who went 2-3 at the plate with three RBI, and Jack Harley, whose flawless 3-3 performance included two RBI and a run scored. Contributions from Matt Tafuri, Sal Garcia, Brandon Kim, Louis Friedrich, and Danny Haggard further underscored Delbarton's depth and versatility on the diamond.

With this impressive victory, Delbarton is now 10-1 with a road game vs. Chatham on Thursday, followed by a home game against Steinart.
