Delbarton's baseball team celebrated Senior Day in style with a commanding 10-0 victory over Steinert on Saturday, April 27th. The game showcased a dominant performance from start to finish.
In the bottom of the first inning, Delbarton wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, scoring two runs courtesy of Jack Harley's RBI single and a sacrifice fly by AJ Saccento. Building on their momentum, the team exploded in the bottom of the second inning, adding four more runs. This offensive surge was fueled by impressive hits including a triple by Danny Haggard, a double by Louis Friedrich, a bunt single by Aiden Dill, a bases-loaded walk by Ryan Holman, and another sac fly by Saccento, propelling Delbarton to a commanding 6-0 lead.
Not content with their lead, the Green Wave struck again in the third inning, tacking on three more runs. Harley's single, Holman's sac fly, and another bases-loaded walk by Saccento contributed to extending their lead to 9-0.
The game was ultimately sealed in the bottom of the sixth inning when Nick Urioste's sacrifice fly brought Haggard home, securing the decisive 10-0 victory for Delbarton.
