Delbarton delivered a dominating performance in a 40-0 shutout against Seton Hall Prep on Saturday at Brendan P. Tevlin Memorial Field. Running back Brock Dandridge stole the show with three total touchdowns, including a 60-yard rushing score in the second quarter. Dandridge's explosive plays gave Delbarton a 14-0 lead early, setting the tone for a balanced offensive attack. Quarterback Jadon Prinzivalli contributed as well, completing a 38-yard touchdown pass to Dandridge, showcasing the Green Wave's ability to strike both on the ground and through the air. Prinzivalli finished with 126 yards in the air, while Dandridge finsihed with 114 rushing yards along with 44 receiving yards.
Phillip Folmar added to the offensive onslaught with two short-yardage touchdown runs in the first and second quarters. Kicker Will Kramer was also instrumental, connecting on field goals from 32 and 27 yards to extend Delbarton's lead. The Green Wave amassed over 360 yards of total offense and capitalized on their red-zone opportunities, many coming off of forced turnovers. Their efficiency on both sides of the ball kept Seton Hall Prep's defense on its heels throughout the game.
Defensively, Delbarton was nearly impenetrable, holding Seton Hall Prep to just 29 rushing yards and forcing two interceptions by Chaz Cusimano and Lucas Cardinale. The defense caused multiple forced fumbles and special teams had a blocked punt as well. Delbarton's front seven applied constant pressure, recording seven sacks (43 by Tyler Jackson) and several tackles for loss, which stymied Seton Hall's ability to sustain drives. This defensive dominance allowed Delbarton to keep Seton Hall Prep scoreless, marking the Green Wave's second shutout of the season.
With the win, Delbarton improves to 4-1 and remains unbeaten in the SFC United White division. Their performance against Seton Hall Prep not only solidifies their position as a top contender in the league but also highlights their capability to dominate in all three phases of the game. Next up, Delbarton will host Pope John XXIII in a highly anticipated matchup as they look to continue their winning streak back at Regan Stadium on Homecoming Day 2024.
