The freshman football team, led by
Dan DesPlaines, got back on the winning track on Saturday, October 16, defeating Seton Hall Prep 42-6 in West Orange.
Offensively, QB's Jadon Prinzivalli and Will Trafford threw for three combined touchdowns, while tight end Daniel Dotro had all three receiving touchdowns for the Green Wave. Prinzivalli threw two touchdowns on the day, while Trafford had one to Dotro. Brock Dandridge was a force on both sides of the ball, scoring a rushing touchdown and also had an interception for a touchdown.
The Green Wave defense was all over the Pirates, holding Seton Hall Prep to negative rushing yards overall. Tyler Jackson, Tanner Shimko and Alejandro Tabares-Giraldo, the three starting defensive linemen, led the charge all day for Delbarton, keeping the quarterback from converting big plays, and putting pressure on the offensive line.
With two games remaining, the Green Wave now sit 4-3 with Clifton and St. Joe's Montvale coming up. Congrats on a big victory and go green wave!
