Delbarton Freshman Football Improves To 2-0

Even a long drive to Long Island can't stop the Freshman Green Wave!  The boys took on a tough St. Anthony's team on Saturday, September 11, defeating the Friars 26-12 to improve to 2-0 on the season.

The game plan for the Green Wave was run the ball and run it often, and boy did they do that!  Brock Dandridge and Andrew Chobor each rushed for over 100 yards, while scoring three Green Wave touchdowns.  Dandridge had two TD's on the day, while Chobor found the end zone for his first TD of the season.

Defensively, the Green Wave shut down the Friars all morning.  Tyler Jackson had two sacks and a forced fumble, while Troy Bailey had an interception and a forced fumble.  The ferocious Delbarton defense has come up clutch all season long so far, and it shows, holding opponents to only 15 points per game, while the Green Wave offense is averaging 23.5 ppg.

The Freshman Green Wave return home on Saturday, when they host Bergen Catholic at 9:30am. Congrats on a great start, and Go Green Wave!
