The 8-2 Freshman Soccer team, coached by
John Thompson, picked up its 8th win of the season on Thursday, October 7, defeating Morristown 3-1 on Lower Abbey Field. Having lost to Morristown earlier in the season 0-1, the team was looking forward to playing them again.
The Freshman team was able to avenge their previous loss, winning an aggressive 3-1 match. The Green Wave came slow out of the gates, taking a 1-1 tie into the halftime break. Delbarton's first goal came off of a beautiful cross from
Ciaran O'Shea to
Matias Deicas. In the second half, Delbarton responded with a much better effort, scoring two more goals to win 3-1. Deicas added a second goal in the second half for Delbarton. The players of the game were outsider right full back
Ciaran O'Shea and outside right half back
Brady Hyland.
The Green Wave have a slight break in the schedule with a week off before they take on Randolph on Thursday, October 14. Congrats on a great victory!
