The Green Wave lacrosse team is heading back to the Non Public A semifinal after defeating #5 seed Pingry 12-8 on Wednesday afternoon.

Delbarton jumped out to a big 5-1 lead after the first quarter.  The Green Wave would add four more goals in the second to build a 9-2 lead at the half.  Pingry would add three goals a piece in the third and fourth quarter, but the lead was large enough to give Delbarton a 12-8 victory.  

Delbarton had goals from 8 different players on Wednesday.  Joseph Leone led the way with 3 goals and an assist, while Ryan Johnson had 2 goals and 3 assists and TJ Coffey had 2 goals as well.  Sean Diczok, David Link, Spencer Shea, Jake Melchionni and Alex Loschert all scored for the Green Wave.  Link also chipped in with 2 assists.  

Aiden Troy was solid in net for Delbarton once again, allowing 2 goals while stopping 5 shots.  Charlie Medd came in and made four saves in relief.

Delbarton now turns its attention to #1 seed Don Bosco Prep.  The Green Wave will travel to Ramsey on Saturday to face the Ironmen for a spot in the Non Public A final.  Game time is set for noon.  Congrats and best of luck Saturday!
