The Green Wave, coming off a big second place finish at the Morris County Championships faced a very tough St. Peter's Prep team on Thursday, January 26, losing a very hard fought meet 102-68.
Delbarton fought hard until the end with many swimmers setting multiple best times on the season. "The meet was an awesome experience for our boys," says coach Pat Savidge. "For many of our freshmen, it was their first chance to see what top teams look like in NJ swimming. I am proud of how everyone on the team competed and continued to fight while the team was down."
Delbarton was led once again by Co-Captain
Rob Alexy '23, who earn the team its only individual wins of the day. Rob came away victorious in both the 200 yard freestyle (1:42.83) and the 100 yard freestyle (47.84). Alexy was joined by Co-Captain Joe Narduzzi '23,
Emmet Price '23, and
Jonah Kim '24 in the 200 yard freestyle relay, which Delbarton won in 1:30.91.
The boys return to the pool today, January 27 vs. Park Regional.
