On Monday, February 16, the Delbarton Green Wave Swim Team traveled to the Neptune Aquatic Center to take on Pingry in the Non-Public North Finals. After coming up short against Pingry in the state tournament in each of the past three seasons, the Green Wave delivered a statement performance, earning a dominant 113–57 victory to capture their first sectional championship since 1999.

Delbarton was once again powered by the standout performances of Max Ciechanowski '28 and CJ Friends '29. Ciechanowski claimed victories in both the 200-yard Freestyle (1:45.26) and 100-yard Freestyle (47.35), while Friends matched him with two individual wins of his own in the 50-yard Freestyle (21.08) and 100-yard Backstroke (52.37).

Additional individual wins came from Anderson Ruhnke '28, who touched first in the 200-yard IM (1:55.73), with Dalton Brooks '26 close behind in second at 1:56.53. Femi Oshodi '26 added another first-place finish in the 100-yard Butterfly (51.24), and Kerim Mumcuoglu '29 rounded out the individual victories by winning the 100-yard Breaststroke (59.04).

The Green Wave also swept all three relay events, underscoring their depth and team strength en route to the championship win.

Delbarton will next compete in the Non-Public State Championships against St. Augustine on Sunday, February 22, with the meet scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM.
