On Tuesday, January 20, the #3 Green Wave Swim Team hosted top-ranked Bridgewater-Raritan in a highly competitive matchup, ultimately falling 92–78. Despite the narrow loss, Delbarton delivered a strong performance against the No. 1 team in New Jersey.
Max Ciechanowski '28 and CJ Friends '29 led the way with two individual victories apiece. Ciechanowski captured first place in both the 200m Freestyle (1:55.02) and 400m Freestyle (4:08.20), while Friends topped the field in the 50m Freestyle (23.38) and 100m Freestyle (53.15), defeating some of the state's premier sprinters.
Femi Oshodi '26 added an electric win in the 100m Butterfly, storming back on the final lap to edge his opponent by less than two-tenths of a second. Dalton Brooks '26 closed the individual events with a victory in the 100m Breaststroke (1:06.20), with Kerim Mumcuoglu finishing close behind in second (1:06.55).
The Green Wave now turns its focus to the Morris County Championships this Saturday, where Delbarton will look to capture its first county title since 2020.
