The Green Wave kept up its offensive onslaught on Wednesday defeating Mt. Olive 20-1. Rob Russo (Sr., Villanova) led the attack finishing with 4 RBI and 3 hits. He started off his afternoon with a triple in the second, a double in the third, and a double in the fourth.
After a first inning where the score was tied 1-1, Delbarton exploded for 9 runs in the 2nd inning. Kevin Hager (Sr., Cornell) drew a walk, scoring one run, Jack Harley (Jr., Rice) was hit by a pitch, driving in a run. The Green Wave had four straight first-pitch hits. Matt Dahl (Sr., Haverford) tripled, scoring three runs. Sal Garcia (Fr., Duke) singled, scoring Dahl. Russo then drove in his first run on a triple. Marco Maselli (Sr., Holy Cross) picked up his own RBI on a first-pitch double. The final run of the inning was scored when Louis Friedrich (Jr.) singled on a 3-1 count.
Christian Zebrowski (Jr.) picked up the win going 3 innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out five. Chris Accardo (Sr., Georgetown) and Jake Bell (Jr.) finished the game out of the bullpen going one inning each.
In total, the Green Wave had 18 hits, with Aiden Dill (Jr., Seton Hall), Russo, Friedrich, Hager, and Dahl having a multiple-hit game. The Green Wave return to Fleury Field on Friday to host Morristown. First pitch set for 4pm.
