The Green Wave football team improved to 3-1 this season, defeating Clifton 44-7 under the lights on Friday, September 22.  

Delbarton's defense set the tone early in the game, forcing a punt on the opening drive by Clifton, thanks to a huge 3rd down sack by Dallas Hurley '24.  In the ensuing drive, Philip Folmar did it all on the ground, scoring on the second play of the drive for the 18-yard touchdown and a 7-0 lead. Another big defensive performance would force a bad snap and a safety for the 9-0 lead.

Brock Dandridge would score his first TD of the night on the next drive, punching one in from 21 yards out for the 16-0 lead in the first quarter.  Up 16-0, Delbarton would begin the second quarter in the Clifton red zone, and despite a negated touchdown, Brock Dandridge would run in his second score of the night for the 23-0 first half lead.  The relentless Green Wave defense would force another punt and quarterback Jadon Prinzivalli would find Austen Kivler for the 32-yard touchdown and a 30-0 first half lead.

With four minutes left in the first half, Delbarton would get great field position, starting the drive on the 35 yard line.  A screen pass to Folmar would put the Green Wave in the red zone once again, and Dandridge would punch it in from 6 yards out for the 37-0 halftime lead.

With possession to open the third quarter, running back Matt Tafuri had what many would consider the offensive play of the season, breaking at least six tackles on his way to a 55-yard touchdown run and a 44-0 lead.  That lead would stay until the 4th when Clifton would score a late touchdown for the 44-7 final score.  

Playing for Christian Zebrowsk, Prinzivalli was 4-4 for 96 yards and a touchdown.  Dandridge ran for 74 yards and 3 touchdowns.  In the air, Folmar had 3 receptions for 60 yards and Kivler had one catch for 32 yards and a touchdown.
