Delbarton Secures Dramatric Homecoming Victory Over Pope John

On a perfect October afternoon, Delbarton overcame a 14-point deficit to defeat Pope John 35-34 in a thrilling Homecoming game. The Green Wave, now 5-1 on the season, turned things around with a 17-point second quarter. Matt Tafuri played a key role with two touchdown receptions, including a crucial 85-yard pass from quarterback Jadon Prinzivalli in the third quarter. Delbarton's special teams also delivered, with Will Kramer converting field goals from 49 and 27 yards, the later coming with 19 seconds left to secure the victory for Coach Bowers and the Green Wave.  Prinzivalli finished with 373 yards in the air, while Tafuri ended with 154 yards receiving in this bigget game of the year.  

The game was a back-and-forth affair, with Pope John reclaiming the lead in the second half thanks to strong performances by running back Tylik Hill. Hill rushed for for over 220 yards and three touchdowns in the loss. However, a blocked extra point by Nick Stoll proved decisive, leaving Pope John trailing by a single point after their final touchdown.

Kramer's 27-yard field goal in the fourth quarter ultimately sealed the victory for Delbarton. On defense, Delbarton came up with some huge plays including a forced fumble in the end zone for a safety and a game-ending interception by Lucas Cardinale, securing Delbarton's perfect 3-0 record in the SFC United White division.
