The Green Wave shined under the lights on Wednesday night, winning their first Morris County Relay title since 2018, winning by 9 points over 2nd place Morris Knolls.
Delbarton earned points in 14 of the 16 events, including winning the 4x1,600 and pole vault. The Green Wave's pole vault relay of Paul Quense, Andrew Batista and Dakota Lee totaled 36 feet, six inches to break the previous school record. Quense tied his outdoor best at 14 feet in a tight battle with West Morris.
The 4x1600 team of John Cuzzocrea, Sean Dooley, Everett Jania and Joseph Shaeffer performed incredibly well, winning the event by over 5 seconds. The sprint medley team of Hans Clovis, Henry Cafasso, Ryan Johnson and Jania got big second place points as well. Delbarton earned second place in both the shuttle hurdles and intermediate hurdles as well. In the triple jump, Delbarton took third with a 116-0 score, thanks to the team of Abdiel Perde, Jack Paguirigan and Aidan Ponzio. Capping off the night was a 4th place finish by the shot put team of Peter Donini, Trevor Wyso and Gavin Segerson with a score of 129-11.75 and the Discuss team of Donini, Jeffrey Jeeva and Segerson who took 6th at 341-6.
