Delbarton lacrosse continued its title defense on Wednesday, defeating Bergen Catholic 10-5 to advance to the NJSIAA Non Public A Semifinal. The victory was fueled by a standout performance from Jack Sartorius, who led all scorers with three goals and an assist, demonstrating his offensive leadership and clutch playmaking.

Willie Doyle contributed significantly to Delbarton's offensive output with two goals, while James Olsen, Jack Amato, Luke Carrillo, Christian Troczynski, and Ryan McLane each found the back of the net, highlighting the team's well-rounded scoring ability. The offensive efforts were bolstered by assists from Gavin Romweber and Peter Falk.  Delbarton jumped out to a 6-0 first quarter lead and never looked back, keeping the Crusaders to only 5 goals total.

At the faceoff X, Christian Troczynski was nearly unstoppable, winning 10 of 11 faceoffs and providing Delbarton with crucial possession advantages throughout the game. Trafford also contributed effectively, winning 4 of 7 faceoffs and ensuring Delbarton's dominance in controlling the game's pace.

Defensively, Patrick Roelke was solid in goal, making three critical saves in the first quarter that kept Bergen Catholic at bay and preserved Delbarton's lead. His steady performance between the pipes provided the backbone for Delbarton's defense, allowing the team to transition smoothly from defense to offense.

This victory sets up an exciting semifinal showdown with rival Seton Hall Prep, scheduled for Saturday at 2 pm from West Orange.
