Delbarton Lacrosse suffered its first loss of the 2025 season, dropping a 12-5 decision to Brunswick School on March 26.
The first quarter was controlled mostly by Brunswick, with the Bruins scoring with 3:35 left in the quarter for a 1-0 lead. Just over a minute later, they would extend the lead to 2-0. With just 36 seconds left in the first, the Bruins made it 3-0 and would make it 4-0 off the ensuing face-off.Â
Bobby Cusimano would get Delbaton on the board with just 5.7 seconds left in the first, scoring his first of the season to cut the lead to 4-1 after 1.
The Bruins would extend their lead with 4 straight goals in the second, before Delbarton would score its second goal of the game,
Brandon Fodor would get on the board for the 8-2 deficit. This would spark the Green Wave offense as the next possession,
Gavin Romweber would make it 8-3 with 4:32 left in the half. Opening the third quarter, Romweber would get his second off a beautiful feed by
Chase Houser to make it 8-4 Brunswick. A beautiful goal by
Will Pedicano would make it 8-5 with 9:40 left in the third, but that would be all the scoring for Delbarton in the game. Brunswick would score 4 more goals and come away with a 12-5 home victory.
Tanner Shimko would make 10 saves in the loss. The Green Wave open the home schedule on Saturday against Ridgewood. Game time set for 11am.
