After numerous rainouts this week, Morris Knolls and Delbarton finally faced off on Wednesday afternoon, with Delbarton outlasting Morris Knolls in dramatic fashion, walking it off in the bottom of the seventh for an 8–7 victory. The Green Wave improve to 4–1 on the season and 2–1 in NJAC play.

Delbarton's offense was firing on all cylinders, pounding out 15 hits, with eight of nine starters recording at least one hit. Junior Matt Tafuri was unstoppable in the three-hole, going 4-for-5 with three singles, a double, and two RBIs—including the game-winning hit in the bottom of the seventh.

The Green Wave, down 1-0 early, built a steady lead, up 3–1 after three innings and stretching it to 6–1 after four thanks to timely hitting and solid early pitching. Finnian O'Loughlin provided a key double and two RBIs, while Sal Garcia delivered a 3-for-4 day with three singles and an RBI. Ryan Holman added a 2-for-3 performance at the plate and later took the mound to close things out.

Curt Friedrich also had a strong game, going 2-for-4 with two runs scored, while Danny Haggard, Brandon Kim, and Lorenzo Maselli each chipped in with hits and RBIs of their own.

On the mound, O'Loughlin threw 3 strong innings, striking out four and allowing just one run. Noah Morales followed with three innings of work, and Holman came in to pitch the seventh.

Despite a late surge from Knolls, who scored four runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game at seven, Delbarton stayed composed. In the bottom half, Friedrich reached on an error and advanced to third on a Brandon Kim single to center. Tafuri came up clutch once again, lacing a single to drive in the winning run and seal the walk-off win.

Delbarton looks to keep the momentum rolling as they face Morris Knolls again on April 10 in Rockaway.
