On Tuesday, April 15 the Delbarton Track and Field Team traveled to our neighbors in Morristown for the third NJAC United dual meet of the season. The team gained some key returners that tipped the scales for a narrow victory 79-61 to push their record to 3-0 on the season.
Sophomore
Hans Clovis continued his early season success with three key victories in the 400H (1:07.8), 400m (52.2), and the 200m (24.8) despite strong winds on the day.
Senior
Peter Donini took on longtime talented rivals from Morristown and came out with victories in both the shot put (60'10) and the discus (146'). Junior
Martin Hindelong also defeated some of the best high jumpers in Morris County with a season PR of 6'2. Junior
Aidan Ponzio won the 110m Hurdles into a headwind in 17.8 and also scored big in the long jump and triple jumps.
In their first meet of the season, sophomores
Zachary McNeil and Todd Smith competed tough to secure key victories in 100m (11.7) and the 800m (2:09) respectively. Senior John Cuzzocrea ran a smart race to ensure victory in the 1600m as well. Junior
Alexander Makovsky won the pole vault in windy conditions.

Matthew Heyer (800m) scored in competitive distance races for essential team points.
