Sub-Varsity Week In Review

It was another strong showing for Delbarton's sub-varsity teams this week, with multiple squads posting undefeated records and key wins over strong competition.  A big shoutout to our Middle School Tennis team, who won their first match of the season this week!

JV Tennis continued their perfect season, going 3-0 this week with dominant performances against Randolph, Mendham, and Morris Hills. The Green Wave are now a perfect 5-0 on the season.

JV Baseball stayed red-hot, pushing their season record to a flawless 9-0. Highlights this week included a 4-3 battle over Gloucester Catholic and two wins over Randolph, 19-0 and 8-3.

Freshman Baseball also impressed, winning all three of their matchups. The team swept Randolph with 16-1 and 13-2 victories before shutting out Bergen Catholic 7-0 on the road.

After a brief break, Freshman Lacrosse returned in full force with a 3-0 week. The boys edged out Chaminade 7-6 in overtime on Wednesday, then handled Westfield 12-6 on Thursday and cruised past Malvern Prep 13-3 on Saturday.

JV Lacrosse continued their winning ways as well, defeating Westfield 3-1 on Thursday and overpowering Malvern Prep 13-1 on Saturday.

On the links, JV Golf secured a 153-163 win over Blair in a very competitive match.

At the middle school level, Middle School Baseball split their week, beating Oratory Prep 4-1 but falling to Rutgers Prep 11-4.  The boys are working hard, improving each and every game.

Middle School Lacrosse posted a 2-1 record, picking up wins over Black River (5-4) and Frelinghuysen (13-6) before dropping a 7-4 contest to Heritage Middle.

Finally, Middle School Tennis earned their first victory of the season with a 3-2 win over Pingry. They fought hard but ultimately fell to Summit Middle (3-2) and Dwight-Englewood (4-1) later in the week.
