The Green Wave returned home on Tuesday, hosting Bernards in a non-conference matchup at Cocoziello Field. The Green Wave defeated Bernards 18-5, with 5 players scoring multiple goals, while the faceoff team of
Jesse DeNegri, Christian Trocyznski,
Kane Quenault and Phil Minardo won 21 of 24 faceoffs.
The Green Wave built a 5-1 lead after the first quarter thanks to goals by
Christian Troczynski,
Gavin Romweber (2),
Brandon Fodor and
Will Pedicano. The Green Wave stepped on the gas in the second, building a 12-3 lead with 7 goals in the second quarter.
Asher Testa made it 6-1, followed by
Chase Houser at 10:55 left in the second.
Bobby Cusimano and Testa score back to back, to build a 9-1 lead with 7:04 left.
Jared Baudin made it 10-1 before Bernards scored to make it 10-2 with 4:39 left in the half.
Peter Falk added to his season total making it 11-2 and
Will Pedicano scored his second of the game to make it 12-3 with 1.4 seconds left in the first half.
Delbarton and Bernards would only score one goal a piece in the third with a goal by
David Rodriguez. Leading 13-4 in the fourth, Delbarton scored five more goals to finish with an 18-5 win. Goals in the fourth scored by Fodor, Cusimano,
