The Green Wave dropped to 0-2 this season, falling to out-of-state Malvern Prep on Saturday by a 29-0 score.

The Friar defense kept the Green Wave in check all afternoon, not allowing a point.  Quarterback Gavin Gilardi was 8/14 for for 45 yards in the air, while Kobe Irbe-Mason led the backs with 52 yards on the ground.  Senior captain Matt Tafuri added 35 yards rushing while Xavier Rodriguez had 20 yards receiving to lead all receivers.

On defense, Luke McBride led the team with 5 tackles and two tackles for a loss.  Michael Parillo had 4 tackles  while Matt O'Leary had 3, assisting on 4 others.  

Delbarton opens its home schedule this Saturday as the Green Wave look to earn their first win of the season against Monsignor Farrell.  Kick off at 1pm.
