In their first meet of the 2026 calendar year, the Green Wave opened in impressive fashion, swimming to a convincing 114–56 victory over Morris Hills on Tuesday.
Delbarton showcased depth across the lineup, earning wins in six individual events and sweeping all three relays on the afternoon. Sophomore Anderson Ruhnke '28 led the way with a pair of individual victories, touching first in the 50-yard freestyle (23.25) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.31).
Junior Dom Narduzzi '27 also delivered a strong performance, claiming first place in both the 200-yard freestyle (1:50.02) and the 100-yard backstroke (57.65). Kenny East '27 picked up a win in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:05.01, while Max Ciechanowski '28 won the 100-yard butterfly in 54.67. Senior Femi Oshodi '26 rounded out the individual victories by taking first in the 100-yard freestyle (53.45).
The Green Wave capped the meet by winning all three relay events, putting an exclamation point on a dominant team performance and securing the season-opening victory.
Delbarton returns to action on Friday, January 9, when the Green Wave host Morris Knolls at home.
