Delbarton Lacrosse Falls to #3 Brunswick 11-6

Delbarton battled back from an early deficit but couldn't keep pace down the stretch in an 11–6 loss to nationally ranked No. 3 Brunswick on Wednesday.

Brunswick jumped out to an early advantage, building a 6–3 lead in the second quarter. The Green Wave responded with a strong push before halftime, trimming the deficit to just one and heading into the break trailing 6–5.

That momentum carried into the third.

Behind a disciplined defensive effort and strong play in goal, Delbarton shut down Brunswick's offense for much of the quarter. Brandon Fodor capitalized late in the frame, finding the back of the net to tie the game at 6–6 and complete the comeback.

But Brunswick answered.

A late third-quarter goal gave the visitors a 7–6 edge heading into the fourth, where they seized control. Brunswick poured in four unanswered goals in the final quarter to pull away for the 11–6 result.

Matthew Good led Delbarton with two goals, while Fodor, Chase Houser, Kane Quenault and Jack Sheridan each added a goal.

Despite the loss, the Green Wave showed resilience against one of the top programs in the country, erasing a three-goal deficit and competing deep into the second half before Brunswick's late surge.
