Delbarton Lacrosse Rolls To 11-2 Win Over Montclair

Delbarton delivered a complete performance on both ends of the field Tuesday afternoon, defeating Montclair 11–2 at home to improve to 4–1 on the season.

The Green Wave set the tone early, building a 2–0 lead after the first quarter before extending their advantage with a 3–1 second frame to take a 5–1 lead into halftime. Delbarton put the game out of reach in the third, scoring four times while shutting out Montclair to open up a commanding eight-goal margin.

Offensively, Delbarton was balanced and efficient, with three players recording multi-goal performances. Pierce Bolger led the way with four points (3 goals, 1 assist), while Brandon Fodor added a hat trick of his own. Chase Houser continued his strong stretch with four points (2 goals, 2 assists), helping to orchestrate the offense throughout.

Additional goals came from Christian Troczynski, Kane Quenault, and Max Melchionni, while Gus Cummings and Jack Sheridan each chipped in with assists for the Green Wave.

At the faceoff X, Kane Quenault dominated possession, winning 9 of 10 draws, while Jesse DeNegri provided strong support, going 4-for-6. That control helped Delbarton dictate tempo and maintain consistent pressure in the offensive zone for most of the afternoon.

Goalkeepers Matty McGinty (2 saves, 1 goal allowed) and Ethan Yang (3 saves, 1 goal allowed) combined for a steady effort in net, while the defense limited quality chances throughout.

Delbarton now faces its toughest stretch of games this season as they play the next seven games away from Cocoziello Field.  The Green Wave will face Don Bosco, St. Anthony's and Westfield before heading to Notre Dame for the Domer Classic.  They end the road trip with a huge game agianst Seton Hall Prep and Pope John before returning home for Mountain Lakes in the end of April.
