Delbarton Earns Big Out-of-State Win with 15-5 Victory Over Chaminade

Delbarton delivered a complete, start-to-finish performance on Sunday, powering past top 10 ranked Chaminade, 15–5, behind dominant possession and balanced scoring.

The Green Wave set the tone early, jumping out to a 3–1 lead after the first quarter behind goals from Christian Troczynski, Matthew Good, and Pierce Bolger. That momentum carried into the second, where Brandon Fodor ripped one from distance and Troczynski added his second to stretch the lead to 5–2 at halftime.

From there, Delbarton's control only tightened. The Wave extended the margin to 9–4 through three quarters, highlighted by a pair of goals from Good and a tough finish from Fodor through heavy pressure. Bolger capped the third-quarter scoring as Delbarton continued to dictate tempo against the Flyers.

The fourth quarter turned into a showcase. Delbarton outscored Chaminade 6–1 over the final 12 minutes to pull away for good. Troczynski completed his hat trick early in the quarter, and moments later, Kane Quenault delivered one of the highlights of the day—winning the faceoff, getting knocked down, and somehow flipping in a goal while on his back. Jack Sheridan, Quenault again off the faceoff, Fodor for his third, and Jack McGinn closed out the scoring in a dominant finish.

Possession told the story. Delbarton controlled the ball for 73% of the game, fueled by a near-perfect day at the faceoff X. Quenault went a flawless 17-for-17, while Jesse DeNegri added a strong 2-for-4 effort, combining for a 22-of-24 team performance. That dominance translated directly into opportunity, as the Wave also won the ground ball battle, 40–19, and shot an efficient 44.1% on the day.

Fodor, Troczynski, and Good each recorded hat tricks, while Bolger and Quenault added two goals apiece. Sheridan and McGinn also found the back of the net, with Chase Houser, McGinn, Bolger, and Fodor each contributing two assists.

Defensively, Delbarton remained steady throughout, with Matty McGinty making four saves in the win.

The Green Wave now turn their attention to the Morris County Tournament.
