Delbarton football capped off their regular season Friday night, defeating Clifton High School 20-13, finishing with a 6-3 overall record. The Green Wave offense was paced by quarterback
Cole Freeman who was 9/16, 166 yards and two touchdowns.
Freeman connected with receiver
Gary Lewis 4 times for 86 yards including a big conversion late in the fourth quarter which set up the game-winning 1 yard td run. Lewis scored for the Green Wave along with Nick Petrillo who had 58 yards receiving and a touchdown. The Delbarton defense once again shined, keeping the Mustangs to 13 points with 2 sacks and a blocked kick.
With the victory, Delbarton earned a home playoff game this weekend when they host Notre Dame High School. Kick-off is set for 1:00pm at William O. Regan Field.
