In a competitive matchup on Saturday, Paramus Catholic defeated Delbarton 34–21 in a game filled with big plays and a tribute to Delbarton Offensive Line Coach Nick Mangold, who tragically passed away last week.

Paramus Catholic struck first in the opening quarter with a 48-yard touchdown pass that was deflected in the air by Adrian Hunter from Rowan Martin to Austin Barrett, though the extra point was blocked by Nick Stoll. Delbarton quickly responded with a 1-yard touchdown run by Matt Tafuri, set up by a Gavin Gilardi to Grant Van Raaphorst long pass, giving the Green Wave a 7–6 lead.

The Paladins regained control in the second quarter. Chukwuma Odoh scored on a 2-yard run, followed by a 2-yard rushing touchdown by Rowan Martin, putting Paramus Catholic ahead 21–7 at halftime.

Delbarton fought back in the third quarter as Girard Yoo caught a 41-yard touchdown pass from Gavin Gilardi, narrowing the gap to 27–14. However, Paramus Catholic answered with a 53-yard touchdown connection from Rowan Martin to Jordan Moreta, keeping the lead firmly in their favor.

In the fourth quarter, the Paladins extended their advantage on a 33-yard touchdown pass from Marco Green to Nehki Martin. Delbarton closed the scoring with a 41-yard touchdown pass from Gilardi to Grant Van Raaphorst, but it wasn't enough to overcome Paramus Catholic's earlier scoring bursts.

The final score reflected a high-scoring affair, with Paramus Catholic's balanced attack proving just enough to outlast a resilient Delbarton squad.  Next up for the Green Wave is the NJSIAA Non Public A tournament and a matchup with #3 St. Joseph Regional.
