Delbarton School celebrated National Signing Day on December 4, as six senior football players officially committed to continuing their athletic and academic journeys at the collegiate level. The signing ceremony, held in Spada Commons, was led by Athletic Director Tony Negrin and attended by teammates, coaches, and faculty, including Headmaster Fr. Michael Tidd, OSB.
The six student-athletes represent a broad range of colleges and universities, showcasing Delbarton's tradition of preparing its players for success at the next level:
- Phil Folmar: University at Buffalo
- Andy Covello: Washington University in St. Louis
- Troy Bailey: College of the Holy Cross
- Lucas Cardinale: Williams College
- Will Kramer: Williams College
- Lorenzo Petrucci: Bowdoin College
Each player's journey to this milestone reflects their dedication to both football and academics, as well as the guidance and support of the Delbarton football coaching staff.
Athletic Director Tony Negrin expressed his pride in the group, acknowledging their hard work and the strong example they've set for younger players. He also highlighted the commitment of the entire Delbarton community to fostering student-athletes' development both on and off the field along with the parents for their unwavering support of the program over the last four years.
The event was an opportunity to celebrate not just individual achievements but also the camaraderie and teamwork that define Delbarton football. Coaches, players, and families applauded as each athlete signed their National Letter of Intent, cementing their place in the next chapter of their football careers.
Congratulations to Phil, Andy, Troy, Lucas, Will, and Lorenzo on this tremendous accomplishment. The entire Delbarton community looks forward to watching them succeed at the collegiate level.
