At the 2025 Morris County Indoor Track Championships, Peter Donini '25 and Sean Dooley '25 shined, taking home individual titles in the shot put and 1000m respectively. Peter Donini got the night rolling with the one of the furthest throws of his career, a 60 ft 3 in heave. Later in the evening, Sean Dooley impressively took home the 1000m title in a new personal best of 2:35.35, closing in a blistering 29.2 final lap. With these victories, both Peter and Sean automatically earned First Team All-County honors. The two seniors led the charge for a number of standout performances from our younger athletes.

Joshua Akakpo '27 along with Alex Makovsky '26 both threw down big personal bests to rack up points for Delbarton.  Akakpo ran a blistering 1:25.09 in the 600m securing 2nd place overall. This time further lowered his sophomore class record and also went under the junior class record in the process! Alex Makovsky vaulted a full foot higher than his previous personal best, finishing the competition with a 12ft jump and a third place finish. 

The team overcame much adversity to finish a strong 3rd place in arguably the deepest county in New Jersey. Next up, the team will compete at the Varsity Classic on February 3. Go Green Wave!
