Delbarton suffered its first loss of the season on Wednesday night, falling 3–1 to The Hill School (PA) in a non-conference, out-of-state matchup on January 8.
The opening period was scoreless, but not for lack of chances. Delbarton controlled much of the play early, peppering the Hill net with shots, yet the breakthrough never came. Hill struck first midway through the second period to take a 1–0 lead into the final period.
Despite continuing pressure in the third, the Green Wave found themselves trailing 3–0 after two Hill goals extended the margin. Delbarton finally broke through late when Cole Hurst finished off a play set up by Marco Zimovcak and Thomas Keough to get the Green Wave on the board.
Delbarton finished the night with 48 shots on goal but was unable to capitalize on six power-play opportunities. Ryan White started and made 15 saves in net.
