Delbarton Hockey delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday night at SportsCare Arena, erupting for six goals in the second period and cruising to a 7–0 shutout win over Westfield. The victory improves Delbarton to 11-1-3 on the season with only two games remaining in the regular season.
After a scoreless opening period, Delbarton broke the game wide open in the middle frame, scoring six times in a relentless stretch that left little doubt about the outcome. The Green Wave finished the night with seven goals from seven different scorers, showcasing the depth and balance that has defined the team all season.
Senior Jacob Gomez scored, along with goals from Aidan Pasic, Michael Pirot, Sean O'Gwen, Ayden Puppe, and Egor Andree and Matthew Good, capping off the seven-goal outburst.
Pasic led all players with a five-point night, finishing with one goal and four assists, while Pirot (1G, 3A) and O'Gwen (1G, 2A) each recorded multi-point performances. Puppe added a goal and an assist, and Andreev chipped in a goal as Delbarton consistently pressured Westfield's defense throughout the night. Matteo Conte, Chris Migliaro, and Thomas Keough also contributed assists in the win.
The Green Wave defense was just as sharp, limiting Westfield to only 11 shots on goal. Paul Insauto turned aside all eight shots he faced to earn the shutout, while Ryan White was perfect in relief, stopping all three shots that came his way as Delbarton completed the team shutout.
Delbarton will look to carry the momentum forward as finishes off the regular season with a road visit to CBA and senior day next week against Pope John.
