Delbarton Basketball Pick Up Two Victories To Open 2026

Delbarton basketball continued its strong early-season form with a pair of convincing wins to open 2026, improving to 8–1 overall with victories over St. Joseph Regional and Morris Knolls.


Jan. 3 — Delbarton 74, St. Joseph Regional 54

Delbarton set the tone early against St. Joe's, jumping out to a 21–10 first-quarter lead and never looking back. The Green Wave paired defensive pressure with efficient offense, building a 43–28 advantage by halftime.

Austin Kolakowski led the way with a game-high 20 points, knocking down four three-pointers while adding five assists, two blocks, and two steals in a complete performance. Nick Treue was everywhere offensively, finishing with 15 points and seven assists, while Günther Neumann chipped in 11 points and six rebounds.

Delbarton continued to control the game in the second half, using balanced scoring and steady ball movement to keep St. Joe's at bay and close out the 74–54 win.


Jan. 5 — Delbarton 70, Morris Knolls 51

Two days later, Delbarton put together one of its most complete efforts of the season in a 70–51 win over Morris Knolls. After a competitive opening quarter, the Green Wave took control defensively, holding Knolls to just five points in the third quarter to break the game open.

Kolakowski again paced the offense with 16 points and four assists, while Ben DeLong provided a spark from the perimeter with 11 points off the bench. Günther Neumann added nine points and two steals, and Marty Hindelong contributed seven points, four rebounds, and two assists.

Delbarton led 48–26 after three quarters and continued to push the tempo in the fourth, finishing the weekend sweep with another double-digit victory.
