Delbarton picked up a hard-fought 56–50 win over Chatham on Tuesday, improving to 9–1 on the season behind a strong second-half effort.
After a slow start offensively, the Green Wave stayed within striking distance, trailing 22–21 at the half. Chatham briefly pushed the pace in the third quarter, but Delbarton answered with its best stretch of the game, outscoring the Cougars 18–15 to take a slim lead into the final period.
Delbarton took control down the stretch with disciplined defense and clutch free throws, closing the game on a 17–13 fourth quarter to seal the victory.
Günther Neumann led all scorers with 15 points, while Stephen Kmetz added 14 points, including two three-pointers. Austin Kolakowski chipped in 12 points, along with four rebounds, three assists, and two blocks, providing a steady presence on both ends once again. Nick Treue contributed six points, seven rebounds, and three assists off the bench, and Veer Dhall anchored the glass with eight rebounds.
