Delbarton Basketball, led by head coach Dan Whalen, opened the 2022-23 season with a dominating 68-36 win over Pope John on Friday, December 16.

The Green Wave jumped out to a big 20-6 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.  Delbarton outscored Pope John in each quarter and took a 40-19 lead into the half at Abbot Clarke Gym.  Michael Van Raaphorst scored a game high 18 points for Delbarton, while Nick Modugno chipped in with 9 points and 4 rebounds.  Grant Dangler added four points with 5 rebounds and three blocks while Lincoln Zimmermann came off the bench with 7 points and two assists.  Julian Radossich had a solid game as well, chipping in with six points, five rebounds and two assists in the victory.

Delbarton will face Morristown on Monday, December 19 at 7pm.  Congrats on a great season opening win!
