Middle School Cross Country Matt Crane

Middle School Cross Country Competes against Booton

Middle School Cross Country beat Boonton by a score of 25-32 yesterday. Coach Brian Theroux was thrilled with his team's performance and stressed the importance of fourth, fifth, and sixth-place finishers. Delbarton's top three runners featured Cameron Gabriel '28, Matthew Laurenzi '27, and Kabir Singh '27 as they finished neck-and-neck with Boonton's top three runners. 

Alexander Tonzola '27, Edward Zervigon '27, and Jacob Gordon '28 underscored Boonton's next three runners with a finish of 24 points to 33 points. The 9-point margin gained by the 4-5-6 group was greater than the 1-point margin of the 1-2-3. This is how Cross Country meets are won, by teams! Delbarton's Middle School Cross Country team is proving to be a strong group of competitors as each member plays their own role in the larger team effort.

The next Middle School Cross Country meet will take place on Thursday, September 29 at 4:00 PM vs Dover.
