Delbarton Hockey improved to 9-0 this season, defeating Fairfield Prep 7-2 on Monday, January 16, 2023.

The Green Wave jumped out to an early 1-0 lead as Duncan Stewart scored on a one-timer off a face-off win and pass from Nick Faccone.  Stewart would score his second of the game in the first period, ripping a shot from the high slot, assisted from Trip Pendy and Brandon Shaffer.  Fairfield Prep would score to make the score 2-1 after one period of play.

The Green Wave would jump out to a 4-2 lead after 2 periods of play in the second.  Jack Fidacaro would score off a spinning pass behind the goal from Dante Rodriguez for the 3-1 lead.  Fairfield Prep cut the lead to 3-2, but Delbarton answered back, with Duncan Stewart scoring netting his third goal for the hat trick.  Aidan Pasic and Timmy Galvin assisted on the goal.

The third period was all Delbarton, with Jack Gerne, Timmy Galvin and Aidan Pasic scoring for the 7-2 win.  Liam Donnelly, Jack Olsen, Hayden Bright and Jack Ross would have assists in the period as well.  Teddy Foley was solid in net for Delbarton, makng 16 saves for his first victory of the year, starting in front of Jason Cai.

The Green Wave have a busy week ahead, with three more games on the slate.  Delbarton hosts St. Augustine on Tuesday, January 17, followed by a trip to Princeton for a matchup with Princeton Day School on Friday, January 20.  The Green Wave then travel to the Ice Vault on Sunday at 6:15pm for a showdown with Don Bosco Prep.
